<br />Steve Jobs has been half the hype with Apple products. There is a cult following that is mostly deserved but also with Jobs selling the vision can be somewhat hypnotically induced.
<br />
<br />Will success continue?

Or perhaps to put it another way, if they want me to join their network then I guess the easiest way is to just buy facebook.
<br />
<br />Facebook is a platform - to some degree an organizing system. It is a little tricky because the organizing system of facebook runs on multiple operating systems - the Web being the proxy operating system I suppose. Also, is not everything really an organizing system in the first place. From a wrecking yard to a dresser in your home we are surrounded by organizing systems. All tucking things into a hierarchy. Our computer filing system is also an organizing system. So what does facebook do that is more than a filing system. It lets other people see what we have filed. It lets us share in games which is really a story along with stored data. Anyway - all this stuff is a little well, off topic maybe - but probably more important in the end - see <a href="http://www.nodism.o">http://www.nodism.org</a> for more discussion.
<br />
<br />So... the question might be, who will be most scared of losing out to the next potential leader of the organizing system - and the answer might be whoever buys facebook. In a more positive light... the question is who believes facebook is doing a very decent job and wants to spend a few billion for it. Sound crazy, but if you had a few extra billion, it might be the easiest way to 10 years of smooth sailing. Who do you think people will say will buy facebook and who do you say will buy facebook. Please vote in the predict-a-poll:

This would be items glued to the skin with a gel that might last for a week or two and would seem less invasive than implants. It could help with technology like an iDot or a microcomputer (soon a nanocomuter) being fixed to the wrist or back of finger. Or for a phone, something glued into the outer ear area and then the microphone or nanophone glued like a beauty mark. I know what would be good for this but I am keeping it secret for a bit. <br /><br />The iPaper is an obvious winner if there is not holotechnology yet as it has a larger screen - this would be OLED rollup. So without further delay - what do you think 2020 will be like? Take the Tapoll predict-a-poll and predict how other people will answer the poll at the same time you vote!<br /><br />Dan<br /><br /><br /><br /><div style="padding-left: 36px; position: relative; top: -26px;"><br /><br /><script src="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/embed/862729514/width/260"></script><br /><div style="width:260px; position:relative; top:-20px; padding:2px 0px 5px 0px; background-color:#CCCCCC;"><div style="padding-left:5px;"><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/create/" title="Tapol - predict a poll web 2.0 site" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">Create a Tapol poll</a><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/similar/862729514" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">View similar polls</a></div></div><br /><br /></div><br /><div style="position:relative; height:0px; top:-66px;"><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/" target="tapoll">Tapoll</a> - the predict-a-poll site by inventor <a href="http://www.danzen.com/" target="danzen">Dan Zen</a>. But for those of you who have not been on in a while, they have added "Applications" which are like widgets, components, extra features, etc. These are really taking off now with hundreds of thousands of takers getting horoscopes, trip logs, free gifts, flickr pics, super pokes, etc. The pages are starting to appear more customized and all of a sudden there is 20 times if not more to do. This has its pros and cons but I expect for the masses, it is a pro.<br /><br />What do you think? And what do you predict other people will think...<br /><br /><div style="padding-left: 36px; position: relative; top: -26px;"><br /><br /><script src="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/embed/144339204/width/260"></script><br /><div style="padding: 2px 0px 5px; width: 260px; position: relative; top: -20px; background-color: rgb(204, 204, 204);"><div style="padding-left: 5px;"><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/create/" title="Tapol - predict a poll web 2.0 site" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">Create a Tapol poll</a><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/similar/144339204" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">View similar polls</a></div></div><br /><br /></div><br /><div style="position: relative; height: 0px; top: -66px;"><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/" target="tapoll">Tapoll</a> - the predict-a-poll site by inventor <a href="http://www.danzen.com/" target="danzen">Dan Zen</a>. Now fantastic videos are surfacing showing working models. Dan Zen would like to point out that while multitouch is indeed impressive, part of the WOW factor is just the panning, zooming and rotating. These can be accomplished on a number of Dan Zen tools using a hot key and dragzooming for instance. This has enough of the necessary functionality to still make a WOW. The multitouch interface is very exciting and has been examples of other Tapoll polls - see multitouch undter topics. The vertical horizontal auto adjustment is cool as is the proximity to the ear. <a href="http://www.iphone.org/">http://www.iphone.org</a><br /><br /><div style="padding-left: 36px; position: relative; top: -26px;"><br /><br /><script src="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/embed/884981357/width/260"></script><br /><div style="padding: 2px 0px 5px; width: 260px; position: relative; top: -20px; background-color: rgb(204, 204, 204);"><div style="padding-left: 5px;"><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/create/" title="Tapol - predict a poll web 2.0 site" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">Create a Tapol poll</a><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/similar/884981357" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">View similar polls</a></div></div><br /><br /></div><br /><div style="position: relative; height: 0px; top: -66px;"><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/" target="tapoll">Tapoll</a> - the predict-a-poll site by inventor <a href="http://www.danzen.com/" target="danzen">Dan Zen</a>. It is interesting to watch how Google's "reputation" is changing as well as they go from an underdog to the mega company. This area would be interesting to conduct some polls in too.<br /><br /><div style="padding-left: 36px; position: relative; top: -26px;"><br /><script src="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/embed/928336442/width/260"></script><br /><div style="padding: 2px 0px 5px; width: 260px; position: relative; top: -20px; background-color: rgb(204, 204, 204);"><div style="padding-left: 5px;"><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/create/" title="Tapol - predict a poll web 2.0 site" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">Create a Tapol poll</a><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/poll/similar/928336442" class="pp_link" target="_tapoll">View similar polls</a></div></div><br /></div><br /><div style="position:relative; height:0px; top:-66px;"><br /><a href="http://www.tapoll.com/" target="tapoll">Tapoll</a> - the predict-a-poll site by inventor <a href="http://www.danzen.com/" target="danzen">Dan Zen</a>.
